Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for about 3 minutes.
Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create 4 cutlets. Pat them dry with paper towels.
In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Dip each chicken cutlet in the beaten egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Press lightly so it sticks.
Spray both sides of the breaded chicken with cooking spray.
Place chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 400°F for 8 minutes.
Flip chicken, spoon marinara sauce over each piece, and top with shredded mozzarella.
Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the chicken reaches 165°F and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if you like.
