Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef 80 20
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and mince the garlic then cut broccoli into bite size florets.
  2. Warm olive oil in a large skillet on medium heat then add onion and cook until translucent about 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in garlic.
  3. Move onion to the side then add ground beef. Break it up and cook until browned about 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. Stir in broccoli with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook until the florets brighten and turn tender crisp about 4 to 5 minutes.
  5. Scatter cheddar over the top. Cover the skillet and let the cheese melt about 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Taste adjust seasoning and serve hot from the pan.
