Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or pot, add the pasta, chicken broth, butter, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook, stirring often, until the pasta is tender and the liquid has mostly absorbed, about 10-12 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to low, stir in the Parmesan cheese until creamy and smooth.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
