  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (for icing)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk slightly and stir in yeast with a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, salt, butter, eggs, and milk mixture until a dough forms. Knead for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
